An aerospace centre construction in Gloucestershire is signed with a £40m deal. Aerospace manufacturing includes a design facility to be developed. The construction of the 184,000 sq ft aerospace centre will be developed for Moog’s Aircraft Controls Segment, which will be the centre of excellence.
The site will be built in a 10-acre land at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury. The A46 will be controlled by Barberry which is near junction nine of the M5. Moog is approved to be taking a pre-let on a 35-year lease. The global centre of excellence that holds Moog’s current Tewkesbury operation is for the design of servo valves.
Moog is currently the largest employer and has been operating centre of excellence at Tewkesbury for over 40 years. Tewkesbury Borough Council might be receiving a planning application for the new centre by the end of this month. The construction might be in place starting from early 2021, and administration offices are expected to be functioning from 2023.
