Nine schemes across England have now been cleared to start on site, following final contract awards under the latest wave of the School Rebuilding Programme.
Bowmer & Kirkland leads the latest batch, securing £147m of work across two major secondary school projects — Helena Romanes School in Great Dunmow, Essex, and Smithdon High School in Hunstanton, East Anglia.
Rival tier one contractors have also secured significant packages. Galliford Try has landed three primary school rebuilds worth £42m across Wigan, Ascot and Huddersfield. Meanwhile, Morgan Sindall has secured two schemes totalling £31m in York and Birchington-on-Sea.
Offsite specialist REDS10 completes the lineup with a £22.5m contract to deliver Hinkley Academy in Leicestershire.
