The contract has been awarded to Galliford Try Building North East and Yorkshire by the Department for Education and the Northern Lights Learning Trust.
The Headland-based school currently serves 374 pupils, including specialist provision for 25 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The project will see the delivery of a replacement two-storey building under a cost pilot initiative with the Department for Education, aimed at testing best practice and driving value through the School Rebuilding Programme.
Designed to achieve Net Zero Carbon in Operation standards, the scheme will incorporate passive design strategies to reduce energy demand and lower long-term operational costs.
New facilities will include infant and junior classrooms, dedicated SEND accommodation, a main hall, library, nursery and staffroom, as well as hard and soft play areas and on-site parking.
Completion of the development is scheduled for Summer 2027.
