The £200m South Shields riverside development will take over the construction of a glass-fronted office block which will be the first building in the project. The glassworks building is designed to comprise four-storey’s which will be constructed as part of Harton Quays Park in the Mill Dam area of the town.
The glass office block would provide approximately 50,000 sq ft of flexible office space. The other amenities include an attractive roof terrace that showcases 360-degree panoramic views, and basement parking. The architecture will be implemented by Newcastle-based firm Ryder Architecture along with South Tyneside Council and Muse Developments.
The detailed designs would be discussed and after which the public consultation follows. The planning application is yet to be submitted early next year. The glass office building is part of the £200m Holborn regeneration masterplan. This scheme is planned to transform the brownfield land into a working space, vibrant living, and cultural quarter.
