Engineers have started the first stage repair work of Hammersmith Bridge, they have estimated that the cost of repair would be around £120m. The 132-year old Hammersmith Bridge was closed due to iron casting. The repair work is expected to take 3 years to complete. Hammersmith & Fulham Council are working to find funders for the next phase of repairs in spring 2020. The £120m estimation could be changed due to unknown challenges during the repair work said an authority.
