HS2 costs could raise to £106bn

As per the report from Oakervee regarding the future of HS2 has raised the fears of costs hitting £106bn, the reports warn that the costs could rise to another 20% compared to the current situation, the current estimates are £80bn to £88bn. This report has raised alarm bells among the project’s management. The report states that “The review has not seen convincing evidence that HS2 Ltd, especially the phase one construction team, have the level of control and management of the construction normally associated with major projects.”
