ISG has secured three new projects: Two Rivers CofE Primary School (a Passivhaus Plus project in Keynsham); Compass School Southwark (the largest of the three); and Chelveston Road School in Northamptonshire (for pupils with moderate learning difficulties).
The £35m construction of 3 schools is the latest win for ISG from the Department for Education (DfE). The school’s construction is followed with the completion of Churchward School in Swindon last year, which represents the latest iteration of ISG’s standard design approach.
The southwest school schemes at Norton Hill, Badbury Park, and Monkerton are being constructed to similar fast-track timeframes, using replicated standard components, such as structural and roof solutions.
Transferring and replicating techniques and processes from prior projects is the goal, said ISG. Alongside, speeding up pre-construction periods, improved cost and programming advice, and saved time in the design phase are also in consideration.
