JCB plans to cut the workforce

JCB is planning to cut 950 jobs at its UK plants as there is huge reduction for the demand for its machines due to coronavirus pandemic. The plant maker has conveyed to UK employees to advise that the jobs are under threat at its 10 plants in Staffordshire, Wrexham and Derbyshire. Besides the workforce, 500 agency employees are released from the business.

Graeme Macdonald(JCB CEO) has stated that restructuring JCB’s business has become a tough job and hence the company has no choice but to make difficult decisions.
