Kier to deliver £66m Twickenham sewage works upgrade

A major infrastructure project with £59m related to decommission at Sellafield is secured by Kier. This is a four-way joint venture between Kellogg Brown and Root, Morgan Sindall, Jacobs, and Doosan Babcock.

The partnership was appointed last year to revolutionise project delivery at Sellafield and the project has been awarded by the Programme and Project Partnership. Kier is involved in the construction of seismically designed reinforced concrete structures.

The works by Kier will act as an annex to an existing facility. Works include reinforcement and concreting, the formwork, and the installation of lattice girder roof trusses. Autumn 2023 is the scheduled timeline for completion of the majority of the works.

The delivery of projects at Sellafield is extensive by Kier and since 1981 it has completed in excess of 70 projects valued at £350m.
