The search for two development partners was begun by the London Legacy Development Corporation. The shortlisted developers would deliver 1,200 homes in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
This project worth £600m will witness two new neighborhoods in the south of the Park at Stratford Waterfront, and at Bridgewater Triangle. These set sites are situated at the UCL East, closer to the UCL’s new campus.
The Stratford Waterfront site comprises a total of 1.6-acre area. This is next to the new East Bank culture and education district. The other buildings under construction besides the site are Sadler’s Wells, V&A, the BBC and UAL’s London College of Fashion located besides the site.
The planning of the site at Stratford Waterfront includes 600 homes, retail and food spaces. The construction is being implemented with a vision to create a multi-generational and family-oriented environment within a river setting.
The 5.9-acre site sits close to Pudding Mill DLR station and is bounded by the Waterworks River to the east and the Greenway to the west. End of 2021 is the estimated time that LLDC aims to appoint a partner.
