Phase 3 plan of Salford Middlewood Locks got approved

Scarborough International Properties which is the developer and investor has gained planning consent for the third phase of its 25-acre Middlewood Locks development in Manchester. The design involves building 189 homes in two blocks.

 The design by Whittam Cox Architects comprises one building of 10 storeys and the other with 12 storeys. The site is located at the northern side of the canal opposite Phase I.

Beijing Construction Engineering Group International (BCEGI) will start in early 2021 while it is expected to be completed by late 2022.

On the other hand, Phase II was started in February 2020 and will be completed in 2021. The Phase I houses will have their own private outdoor space in the form of a balcony, terrace or garden.

A communal podium garden for the residents will be built in the upcoming phase and which was done in the earlier phases. There will be 61 undercroft car parking spaces and 40 bicycle spaces.
