A joint venture of Taylor Wimpey is hunting for contractors to bid for a £30m commercial and residential construction project in south London. The York Road and Winstanley Regeneration LLP is a joint venture between the London Borough of Wandsworth and Taylor Wimpey.
The JV would be redeveloping the Winstanley and York Road Estates in Battersea. The project includes several community buildings, 2,290 mixed-tenure residential units, retail and amenity spaces.
Suitably experienced and competent building contractors will be assigned to undertake the design and construction of the existing RIBA Stage 4 design to build completion (end of RIBA Stage 6) for the second phase of the scheme (Block 5).
Provisioning of commercial space and circa 132 residential units are under the planned works across three residential blocks and associated external works. The expected construction cost for Block 5 is £30m and the contract will be a JCT Design & Build 2016.
November 9 is set to be the deadline for Expressions of Interest (EOI) with prequel questionnaires due to be issued on November 20. December 4 is the end for returning Questionnaires while invitations to tender will be issued on January 11 2021.
