The Rothen Group (TRG) was successful in winning two prestigious awards after completing the construction of Mancetter Marina in Warwickshire. These prestigious awards at Institute of Civil Engineering West Midlands Awards 2021 were announced in the third category.
The awards reveal TRG has taken required measures when building the brand-new marina, winning in both the ‘Small Project’ and ‘Sustainability’ categories. The civil engineering business had an inventive approach in using innovative engineering techniques and materials.
TRG demonstrated its commitment to attracting and preserving local ecosystems with a mix of hard and soft engineering. Besides, the protection of wildlife at the site was considered while also making a huge difference to the surrounding infrastructure.
These efforts also saw the company highly commended in the ‘Innovation’ category of the awards. TRG provided a complete end-to-end solution to construct the new marina, including installing new state-of-the-art jetties and moorings, and piling and bank stabilization work.
Overcoming the logistical challenges of transforming an existing water-filled bowl was made possible using specialist marine engineering equipment on the Warwickshire Ring. TRG has created a scenic marina for the local community to access and enjoy.
