Weston Homes plans £50m East London scheme

The £50 million Town Quay Wharf project will be carried out in collaboration with Be First London on behalf of Barking and Dagenham Council. Town Quay Wharf, located off Abbey Road and designed by PRP Architects, will connect the town centre to the waterfront.

The proposed development will include three 11-story and two 7-story buildings, with pedestrian boulevards connecting them and leading to a new public plaza on the waterfront. It will be positioned north of Weston’s larger project, Abbey Quay, a new £350 million, a 6-acre riverside urban village with over 1,000 residences and 41,000 square feet of commercial retail and recreational space.

According to Contract Journal, chairman and chief executive of Weston Homes, “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Barking and Dagenham Council at our new development Town Quay Wharf, providing not only a significant number of private market sale homes in the regeneration area but also providing 42% of vital affordable homes.
