Winvic Sets Sights on Growing Data Centres Market

The contractor is set to expand into the data centre sector, complementing its established strengths across industrial and logistics, multi-room developments, and civil and infrastructure projects.

Danny Cross, Director and Head of Data Centre Delivery at Winvic, said the business has spent the past eighteen months strengthening its foundations for this move, focusing on building a robust supply chain, upskilling its workforce, and bringing in specialist expertise.

“By working closely with experienced MEP partners, we are bringing together large-scale civil engineering capability with the technical accuracy required to deliver data centres that prioritise uptime, resilience, and long-term scalability,” he said.

“This represents a key milestone in Winvic’s ongoing evolution, enabling us to enter one of the fastest-growing areas of construction while continuing to uphold our core values of quality, collaboration, and excellence.”

Danny Nelson, Managing Director for Industrial, Logistics and Data Centres at Winvic, added that the move into data centres is a natural progression for the contractor.

“These schemes share many of the same characteristics as the buildings we have successfully delivered for more than 25 years,” he said. “Our track record on large, complex industrial and logistics projects, our strong safety and quality standards underpinned by our ‘Doing It Right’ culture, and our collaborative delivery approach place us in a strong position as we enter this market.”
