The bridge that connects England and Scotland is now undertaken for all the refurbishment and rebuild works by Spencer Group. But what makes it so special from the other renovation projects is quite different. While this being one of the oldest working bridges functioning from 200-years, it is also named as the longest wrought iron suspension bridge.

The renovation works for this bridge will start from next month. The bridge was opened in 1820 and has long run after the renovation plans came up for a better utilization. The initial design has made a significant way in influencing Clifton Suspension Bridge with the design parameters. The Spencer Group took up renovation works for as much as a 137m span bridge after dismantling it.

The complete renovation will be carried out with a new plan, while the key focus is to maintain the historical significance without any disturbance. So the undertaking firm will eye on the modifications by securing its reputation. Also, the suspension chains will only be restored while the two towers of bridge will be carrying repair masonry works with usage of similar stone types.
