Green signal given for £30m Logistics Park

An approval is given for the £30m distribution warehouse park Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The construction of this new logistics park in Leicestershire will begin as Developer Gazeley has secured approval from North West Leicestershire District Council.

The development will take place in 68-acres while this site was previously used as a coal lounge, coal preparation and disposal point until 2004. Later it was disused. Most of it is identified as suitable for employment provision in the district’s local plan.

Concerns about the size and scale of the building, the traffic and the impact on air quality were the representations against the application.
