Vistry Wins Approval for 300 Affordable Homes Near North Mid Hospital

Enfield Council has unanimously approved planning permission for a major partnership-led affordable housing development, clearing the way for the project to move forward once a Section 106 agreement is finalised.

Construction is expected to begin later this year following completion of the legal agreement, marking the next stage in delivering much-needed affordable homes in the borough.

The development will provide 306 affordable homes, comprising 152 properties for social rent and 154 intermediate affordable homes, including dedicated accommodation for eligible key workers employed by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

The scheme is being delivered through a partnership between Vistry, GLA Land and Property, affordable housing provider Hyde, and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Vistry was appointed as development partner following a competitive procurement process managed by GLA Land and Property.

Kevin Delve, Managing Director of Vistry East London, said the planning approval demonstrates how strong collaboration between public sector organisations can unlock complex brownfield sites and accelerate the delivery of high-quality affordable housing.
