McLaren lands another £240m Reading site

The £240m Minster Quarter scheme in Reading has an appointed preferred bidder by McLaren Living. The site will provide 612 homes together with a 100-bed hotel and 20,000 square feet of commercial space alongside Reading Borough Council.

The Minster Quarter win is all the more tangible a week ahead of when placemaking specialists McLaren Living disclosed it would develop the adjoining Broad Street Mall area to form another mixed-use local community inside Reading’s town centre.

Jobs at Minster Quarter will briefly do away with the old Civic Centre site to develop a whole new district. However, the Broad Street Mall scheme will have 600 build-to-rent housing flats and 15000 square feet of commercial, retail and leisure action.
