Allied Infrastructure, which focuses on projects across UK airfields and local highways maintenance, has been part of Colas since 2017.

Colas confirmed in a statement that Colas Ltd has agreed to sell Allied Infrastructure to Kent-based civil engineering contractor DJ Civils Ltd.

The company said the disposal aligns with its strategy to concentrate on road construction and maintenance, along with the manufacture and distribution of bituminous binders — areas where it believes it holds strong market positions and can deliver sustainable long-term returns for stakeholders.

DJ Civils expects its turnover to reach £30m this year and currently employs around 130 people.

Allied Infrastructure is forecasting turnover of £17m for the current financial year and has a workforce of approximately 50 employees.
