Extra MSA Group’s Warrington scheme received approval last year following an extensive planning process.

The development will feature a range of facilities, including commercial units, seating areas, a 100-bedroom hotel, outdoor dining spaces, and play zones.

From the outset, the Warrington services will offer comprehensive electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with future plans to introduce E-HGV charging points—supporting the region’s industrial network and helping to lower road transport emissions.

Bethell Construction has been appointed to deliver key highway improvements at the junction, which will include new traffic lights and enhanced pedestrian connections.

The project team also includes architect Corstorphine & Wright, quantity surveyors CSA, project managers Mascot Management, structural engineers Hexa, and highways and sustainability consultants Ramboll.

Extra MSA CEO Tom Dobson said: “We’re delighted to be moving towards a start on site for this fantastic development. Warrington MSA represents a major investment in local infrastructure and will bring significant economic, safety and community benefits to the area.”
