Property developer Hadley Group has submitted plans for a 13-acre transformation of the former GSK headquarters in west London.

The proposals for the site at 980 Great West Road in Brentford feature around 2,300 new homes—35% of which would be affordable—alongside more than 320,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space. Reports Contract Journal

Hadley’s design team brings together two Stirling Prize-winning practices, Haworth Tompkins and dRMM, working alongside Studio Egret West and Metropolitan Workshop.

While the application is still awaiting validation, early visuals show several tall buildings of up to 25 storeys, connected by landscaped pedestrian routes. Over 60% of the site is planned as public realm, including play areas, gardens, and green corridors running along the River Brent.

The wider project team also features landscape architect McGregor Coxall and engineering firm Buro Happold.

Hadley acquired the former GSK campus last year following the pharmaceutical giant’s move to New Oxford Street, marking the end of more than two decades in Brentford. The purchase was supported by Peterson Group and BGO, with Pennyhill Capital advising on the deal.
