Bidding has begun for the £2bn innovation district at the North Campus in the University of Manchester. As per the report, a decent number of companies have already started throwing their hat into the ring. This will be in a joint venture hence University is looking for a development & investment partner for the site. Long leasehold transfers will be provided by the University & the partner to provide cash & development management. The University has admitted that it would hold minimum 35% equity stake in any joint venture.
