Galliford Try gets £65m contract in education sector

A total worth £65m contract was bagged by Galliford Try as a major framework place in the education sector. This building business company has previous highest win when managing a £38m contract with Northumberland County Council to build a new education campus in Hexham for the Hadrian Learning Trust.

It is said that the project will co-locate Hexham Middle School and Queen Elizabeth High School on the existing high school site. The project also includes the creation of new sports facilities, and will be open to the community. The firm has also recently announced time frame adjustments related to profit targets.

Galliford Try has signed a £27m contract in the West Midlands with University of Birmingham. This development is to transform the former Municipal Bank building at Exchange Square in the heart of the city. The firm will restore the listed 1930s building fronting Broad Street, while also introducing new stone facade on the other elevations and glazed entrance under a new canopy.
