Approximately £200m development is yet to happen by Inland Homes after gaining planning approval in Basildon. Inland Homes expects to start construction in the autumn, once it has agreed a Section 106 agreement with the council.
700 new homes across the development and 25,000 sqm of commercial space at Gardiners Park Village in Basildon are the expected criteria in a total of 54-acres. Also, the development includes a site for new school and sporting facilities.
The planning application was submitted in conjunction with Homes England which has a majority interest in the site. The land will be acquired in phases over a five-year period. Inland Homes entered into a development agreement with Homes England in April 2020.
