The Stockport council-owned site is set to undergo a transformation into a cutting-edge, carbon-efficient industrial development spanning 110,000 sq ft. Reports Contract Journal
Situated on a 7-acre plot near the M60, between Stockport and Cheadle, the site currently consists of older, inefficient industrial buildings and hard standing.
Kier has been tasked with delivering six modern light industrial units ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 sq ft at the Bird Hall Lane location. The project, designed by architect AEW, aims to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification and adhere to Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standards.
The redevelopment is being backed by a £4.4m grant secured through the Government’s Town Fund.
