Based in a modern manufacturing facility in Newhaven, the company, which recently entered administration, was founded 16 years ago and employs around 68 highly skilled professionals.
The business currently has several active housing developments across Lancing, St Leonards, and Eastbourne, and was preparing to launch its largest project to date — a 100-home scheme at Eastbourne’s historic Grade II-listed Victorian Pump House site. Enabling works had already begun, with the first housing units expected to be delivered to the site soon.
Boutique Modular is known for creating contemporary, affordable homes for housing associations and local authorities across the southern region. To date, the firm has successfully delivered more than 240 homes.
Notably, it was the first company in the UK modular housing sector to achieve B Corp certification, reflecting its strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility beyond shareholder profit.
