The development will provide 442 student bedrooms alongside 150 co-living homes, arranged across two towers rising 29 and 18 storeys. Delivered in partnership with Cain, the scheme has now secured clearance for RG Group to commence works on site.
The taller tower will reach 28 storeys, accommodating student housing, while a separate 18-storeybuilding will deliver the co-living element. With Gateway 2 approvalnow granted, construction is set to start immediately, with completion scheduled for mid-2028.
Olympian said the approval was secured through a highly collaborative approach, supported by the Building Safety Regulator’s innovation unit, which helped significantly speed up the application process.
Richard Goodwin, construction director at Olympian, said:
“By progressing the application through the newly established innovation unit, BSR performance improved markedly and the entire process was completed within 14 weeks.
“This outcome reflects the strength of collaboration across the whole project team.”
Olympian chairman Mark Slatter added that the company continues to push forward its growth strategy despite challenging market conditions, remaining focused on the acquisition and redevelopment of high-quality urban sites.
