Laing O’Rourke becomes the only shortlisted contractor that opted to go alone to bid the huge Birmingham Curzon Street HS2 station deal. The three shortlisted bidders for re-run contest to build the landmark city centre terminus worth £570m are unveiled by HS2. The Mace and Dragados pairing are the other bidders who will deliver HS2 London terminus worth £1.3bn at Euston station. Due to the lack of interest from contractors HS2 cancelled the previous bid race previous year.
