A 50% rise in civils design costs of HS2 phase 2

HS2 extends its civils design and environmental services contracts for Birmingham to Leeds and Manchester routes by 50%. The originally expected costs for design fees and environment services are around £350m, hence this figure has raised to £524m due to the HS2 civils design and environmental services extension. Arup will be the highest benefitted as the value of its package rise from £150m to £269m.
