The project will be delivered as a single contract under the Mutual Investment Model (MIM) programme, with both campuses set to open and welcome students in 2027. Reports Contract Journal

As the largest scheme under the MIM programme, it represents a significant investment through the Welsh government’s specialised model for private funding in public projects.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June, with the design led by Sheppard Robson Architects and multi-disciplinary engineering services provided by Arup.

Bouygues Project Director Peter Sharpe said: “We are really looking forward to getting started on these exciting and innovative builds.

“Working on education projects is particularly satisfying as you know that they will bring benefits to young people for generations to come and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of students into these buildings in 2027.”

Once construction is completed in 2027, the new college campuses will be maintained and operated by Robertson FM for 25 years, ensuring the facilities remain of the highest quality for the long term.
