Investor group Embrace first entered the steelwork sector two years ago with the acquisition of North Yorkshire-based steel designer and fabricator Hambleton Steel. Last year, it expanded further with the addition of South Wales steel fabricator Shufflebottom, increasing revenue to £55m.
Previously strategic business development director at Severfield, Kelly played a key role in shaping company strategy and vision while overseeing M&A activity.
Before his tenure at Severfield, he was part of KPMG’s construction and infrastructure advisory team and, more recently, has provided consultancy services to various construction and engineering businesses.
