The move follows Heidelberg’s recent acquisition of the earthmoving and demolition waste recycling contractor Mick George Group last month.
Bristol-based B&A employs a team of 70 and specializes in the supply of recycled and primary aggregate, as well as site clearance, earthworks, land remediation, and sustainable land regeneration. Last year, it had a turnover in excess of £50 million, making a pre-tax profit of £9.1 million.Reports Construction Journal.
Simon Willis, CEO of Heidelberg Materials UK, said: “B&A Group is a successful business with an unrivalled reputation in the South West, underpinned by a strong team.
“This announcement follows the completion of our acquisition of Mick George Limited and adds an additional source of high-quality recycled materials for use in our sustainable building materials.
“It is an exciting opportunity for us, and I am looking forward to working with the B&A Group to grow the business further.”
