Kier to deliver £66m Twickenham sewage works upgrade

Highland Council has appointed Kier for the design and construction of primary school worth £15m at New Castle, in Inverness. The school has been procured through the Scottish Procurement Alliance framework.

This project will serve two new housing developments and will have 12 classrooms. It will also comprise nursery facilities. It is set to be one of the largest in the Highlands and will provide 850 pupil places.

Two phases of construction will be put in place, according to the plan. The first stage delivers construction of 12 classrooms and three playrooms for nursery children. Construction is due to be complete by autumn 2022.

Kier will provide a range of opportunities to the local community including at least five new apprenticeships. Alongside 13 work placements and 10 new job opportunities and career talks at schools within a close radius of the project are included.
