The Morello II twin tower residential scheme is approved to be built in Croydon, South London. Sir Robert McAlpine will be starting the construction of this project after it has already delivered 300 flats near East Croydon station under the £350m regeneration scheme.
The second bigger phase of the Morello Estate that McAlpine is taking up includes a further 456 flats across three separate buildings. Categorizing the three buildings- A total of 338 flats will be built in two 25 storey towers while other 118 flats are for shared ownership and social rent.
The Croydon twin towers building’s location is adjacent to the 9-storey Cherry Orchard Gardens stepped complex. The Morello Estate project will also include a new public realm, 20,000 sq ft of retail and commercial floor space, and a new link bridge to East Croydon train station.
Mitsubishi Estate London and Menta will be funding the Morello Estate. Besides, Clarion Housing Association owns and operates the Cherry Orchard Gardens. The development will be ready for occupation in 2023.
