Planning green light for the first waste plastic to hydrogen plant

Peel Environmental and Waste2Tricity have received the planning green signal for the UK’s first waste plastic to hydrogen plant. The new plant includes the groundbreaking technology which will build at the 54-hectare Protos site. The project is representing the investment of around £130m, the project will take off in Autumn 2020 and expected to be completed by the end of 2021. This plant will have a capacity of treating 35 tonnes of unrecyclable plastics.
