Works for a new warehouse in Wakefield are started by G F Tomlinson. The construction of a 65,000 sq ft Warehouse for Newmarket Lane Ltd is a joint venture between Yorkcourt and HBD. The completion is expected by Summer 2021 for this £6.4 million scheme.
The construction is taking place at the Wakefield Hub industrial and logistics development for its end user H B Clark, part of the Kitwave Wholesale Group. The infrastructure works include an extension to the existing highway with new street lighting and pavements.
G F Tomlinson is undertaking the design and construction of the 65,000 sq ft purpose-built warehouse, which will be delivered via a fast-track programme. This will also include ancillary office space, to help accommodate Kitwave’s expansion plans.
The new warehouse will employ up to 130 full and part time staff and boasts fantastic transport links. The unit is being constructed according to a BREEAM Very Good standard and the site will also feature an 80-space car park as well as a 24-space lorry park.
