Wates Residential is set to transform the former council civic centre site, delivering over 1,000 homes across a 10-year redevelopment plan.
A hybrid planning application has been submitted for the Poets’ Corner scheme, detailing phase one, which will introduce approximately 530 build-to-rent homes across blocks ranging from 5 to 12 storeys. The remaining homes will be constructed in two subsequent phases, with the overall development expected to cost around £360m. Reports Contract Journal
As part of the wider Harrow Strategic Development Partnership, two additional sites—Peel Road, off Wealdstone High Street, and Byron Quarter, adjacent to Byron Park and the former driving test centre—will also be redeveloped.
In total, Wates will deliver 1,500 new homes as part of a £690m regeneration programme spanning the next decade.
