The most landlocked surf park near Birmingham worth £25m receives a move ahead signal from the council planners after they accept proposals on building it. This scheme will soon witness the start of groundwork’s as North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Planning and Development Board has backed the plan.
The huge space of 15-acres at Coleshill is assigned to see many facilities coming together. This massive area will include a 5.4-acre surf lagoon, hub building, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and a perimeter track for Onewheel electric skateboards. The founder and CEO of Emerge Surf, Steve Price said that our aim with Emerge Surf is to bring a slice of the ocean to Birmingham.
Steve Price said the area will be creating a haven for landlocked surfers and those wanting to try the sport for the first time. He further added “I’m thrilled to see such resounding backing from North Warwickshire Borough Council, recognizing our vision and being minded to support the project.
