BAM Construct UK has decided to make 6.5% of its workforce reductant which means that 150 staff is going to lose their jobs. The major decision is taken due to the reduction of new orders folowing Covid-19 crisis, hence the consulations will start this week. A gradual return of staff from furlough is taking place this month, hence the temporary pay cuts will end by next month.
The company statement regarding this decision has mentioned that the BAM Construct has taken this step with deep regret and will redeploy the people to other parts of the business if possible.
