Interserve is all set to start the Saddleworth School building project work this month in Oldham. The project worth is £27m, the project is expected to be completed by February 2022. This project will help Saddleworth School to accommodate around 1500 students aged 11 to 16. An extra 150 new school places will be provided by the new secondary school, above the existing school which is considered as unfit for the purpose.
Phil Shaw (Regional Director at Interserve Construction) has stated that this is a good opportunity for the local community as this project helps in providing local employement which helps in ebuilding the economy in this time of crisis.
