Mental health clauses were recently added to procurement documents by a framework consultant. The second generation of Pagabo‘s £1 billion refit and refurbishment framework has been put out to tender. The most recent version of the framework will be in effect for four years beginning in March of next year, following the expiration of the current agreement in February. It will be divided into five value-based lots ranging from £500,000 to £15 million or more.
The announcement comes shortly after the procurement body announced that mental health clauses would be included in its procurement documents.
According to CEO Gerard Toplass. “Including provisions in procurement was one of the most effective ways to achieve greater accountability for mental health. I’ve never seen a contract clause that specifically mentions mental health in my time in the industry. There are good practises and workplace health and safety, but nothing about mental health.”
Bids for the new refit and refurbishment framework must be submitted by January 11th, 2019.
