Consultants picked for £100m Cambridgeshire framework

House builder Hill Group and Balfour Beatty Investments are being appointed by South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) to lead a £340m council land development programme. The goal of two council partnerships is to acquire land for new homes.

The new homes include council and social rented housing, along with commercial developments. £170m is the approximate investment to flow in as the Council expects in terms of contribution between the two partnerships during the next four years.

The council is keen with the partnerships generating long term income. The SCDC Partnership with Hill Group will build a range of private sale and private rented sector housing, social rented, senior and assisted living, and mixed-use developments.

The South Cambridgeshire District Council partnership with Balfour Beatty called South Cambridgeshire Projects will see mixed-use developments. South Cambridgeshire and neighbouring areas are picked for the development.
