Durkan to rebuild 140-home West London estate

Durkan will be delivering the second phase of the regeneration in West Ealing, London. Clarion Housing Group has shortlisted Durkan to start works at Sherwood Close. The site was originally built in the 1970s.

Lovell has started the regeneration of the 1970s Sherwood Close Estate. It was started four years ago with around 70 homes built. Durkan will construct four apartment blocks over the next two years.

This regeneration project will create over 100 mixed-tenure affordable homes and a new community space for use by residents. The expected date for start of construction is set to be January 2021.

Landscaping the development by the firm also includes a communal courtyard, and creates a parking area for residents. Creation of long-term training and employment opportunities for local residents is the criteria as Clarion Housing Group and Ealing Council will be partnered with Durkan.
