Hill Begins Work On 440 Flats Scheme In West London

The former Citroen garage site in Brentford, West London, has seen the start of construction on a 440-flat project by renowned housing association L&Q and home builder Hill Group.

Half of the homes, which will feature a combination of shared ownership and affordable rental housing, will be reasonable and close to the new Brentford FC and London Irish stadium. Public space and five buildings with a combined height of up to 18 stories are also included in the designs, along with a significant investment in new local infrastructure. The joint venture partnership will also engage in substantial employment, training, and community-focused opportunities throughout construction, which will benefit the local community in several other ways.

By the end of 2026, according to Hill, the project will be finished.

Cain Peters, regional director for The Hill Group, expressed excitement about starting the first collaborative venture with L&Q. Our main goal is to make Brentford a better place to live, and we’ll be collaborating closely with the neighbourhood to offer training and employment opportunities. If locals are interested in a career in construction, they are welcome to get in touch.
