Inspired Villages which is a later living communities developer of Legal & General has confirmed its construction partnership with nine contractors. The work will be carried across the south of the country with this partnership.
The selected contractors are now being invited to bid for places on frameworks across the country. Besides, Inspired Villages currently holds six villages in operation, three of which have ongoing construction of further residential phases.
The firm has taken up seventh and eighth villages under construction. Alongside, works are expected to commence on four further villages this year. Appointment of the South East Partner Group of construction partners follows a comprehensive selection process.
More than 40 regional and national construction contractors submitted an expression of interest which will be followed by interviews and a short-listing process. The nine winners are Highwood, Castleoak, Kier, Graham, Thakeham, Stepnell, Vistry, Willmott Dixon, and Wates.
Three phases associating each inspired village development is typically delivered in over a period of four years. The contract costs would be ranging from £10m to £30m per phase as the construction works go on.
