The Northern Home Counties team which is the arm of Morgan Sindall will start the construction of a new secondary school in Aylesbury. This £36m project under surveillance of Buckinghamshire council is the six-form entry secondary school. The school construction allows a capacity for 900 pupils, with 180 post-16 places.
Heating with air source heat pumps can be observed at the 10, 000 sq ft school part two-storey, and part three-storey. The use of structural insulated panels (SIPs) is also expected to make the building cheaper to keep warm.
The main hall and the sports facilities including some of the school facilities will be available for hire outside of school hours for the benefit of the local community. This construction will include over 30 new job opportunities as the project progresses.
Morgan Sindall Construction will start constructing the project from spring 2020. The firm has also set up a dedicated training centre that will cover both its Kingsbrook projects and will work with Buckinghamshire Council to deliver training for people in the local community.
Besides, Kingsbrook Secondary School is expected to open in September 2022. Alongside, within the Kingsbrook housing development, Morgan Sindall is building Kingsbrook View Primary Academy.
