Morgan Sindall wins £60m contract to build a school in Cardiff.

A £60m investment in education will bring new teaching and learning facilities for 900 students, alongside state-of-the-art sports amenities, including a sports hall, gym, drama studio, and grass pitches. The project, designed by architects at Atkins Realis, is part of Cardiff Council and the Welsh Government’s Band B Sustainable Communities for Learning programme. Reports Contract Journal

Morgan Sindall recently completed a £4.3m package of preparatory work for the Lewis Road site under a pre-construction agreement. Rob Williams, area director at Morgan Sindall Construction, expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “We are honoured to be selected to bring the new Willows High School to life. Our team is eager to get started and collaborate closely with Cardiff Council on this project.”

“Having provided top-tier educational facilities across Wales, we have seen first hand how much the spaces in which children learn have a huge impact on their learning, and this state-of-the-art building will certainly be a great environment for pupils to thrive once built.”
