A planning permission was secured in a joint application with Developer Express and National Express. This major mixed-use regeneration scheme in Digbeth, Birmingham will bring up to 2,000 new homes with the masterplan designed by architect ShedKM.
The construction area includes homes for rent, homes for sale, and student accommodation. Housing, leisure and retail amenities, offices, will be seen in two acres of public realm. Also, a previously inaccessible canal frontage will be active by opening up 200 metres.
The Grand Union Canal that has a border with the six-acre site and close to the Duddeston Viaduct is currently home to the West Midlands Travel central Birmingham bus garage, in the centre of the Digbeth regeneration area.
