Schneider Electric launches Buildings of the Future

‘Buildings of the Future’ series was launched as part of the Digital Building podcast by Schneider Electric. The first two episodes of the podcast are already available and provide expert opinions and predictions on the transition of the UK’s ageing building stock.

The new series helps understand moving from outdated to connected. Kas Mohammed, VP of Digital Energy at Schneider Electric, will be taking a look at how buildings in the UK can become buildings of the future as lockdown is being eased in the UK and businesses continue.

Kas also further states there are few UK buildings being set to be tested within the newly flexible and unprecedented post-COVID world. This combined with the increasing pressure for businesses and organisations to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions.

Kas Mohammed’s statements mean that all buildings including offices, hospitals, and hotels will need to become smarter, more efficient, and resilient.

The episodes will cover:

  • SmartScore Certification
  • The Destination Office
  • Healthy, efficient buildings
  • Future-proofing buildings through design
  • The construction of smart buildings
  • Human-centricity
  • The complex construction supply chain.
